Welcome to our site... nice to have you here!

Two kilmetres outside of Habscheid, just past the Belgian border, you will find the 'Hamara-Hof': a farm with over 7.5 hectares of meadows. Here we have established our centre, a place full of love and positive energy.

Hamara has been the way for us, to make our dreams come true. Our main motivation are the animals... they are the heart of Hamara. In the Netherlands, we started to take in dogs and cats. Horses and rabbits followed soon. After a while we had so many animals, that it began to cost too much time, space and money. It was hardly doable anymore. Therefore we started to look for alternatives. And so we ended up in the beautiful Eifel.

Hamara is a Sanskrit term meaning "ours" or "our". We have chosen this, because it is a joint project. This is the place of our dreams, it just as much belongs to our animals as it does to us. And in the bigger picture, it belongs to all of us, because we hope to reach as many people as possible; hoping that together we can bring about a positive change in behaviour towards animals and each other

Feel free to look around here, to meet with us and our animals; to find out who we are and what we do.

We look forward to welcoming you soon in the beautiful Eifel.

Warm regards,
Team Hamara

Frederike, Elise, Conny, Ronald, Aurora & all of our animals
