Animal Sanctuary
"The greatness of a nation and
it's moral progress
can be judged by the way it's animals are treated".
(Gandhi)
They come to us starving, unwanted,
neglected, abandoned, or when caring owners are sadly no longer able to care for them. Dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, sometimes birds and other
animals. All in need of special help. Fortunately, they've come to a place
where their lives are again filled with hope and love.
Thanks to the benefits of our centre and the generosity of animal advocates
like you, we are able to save and care for animals in need. We nurture each
animal with proper veterinary care, individualized diet, shelter and loving
care and attention. Soon, their health is restored and they enjoy a freedom and quality
of life that comes with their new home, a loving place and the companionship
of other rescued animals. It's here they stay to live in health and peace.
It is our mission to:
* Nurse ill or abused animals back to health
* Rescue imperiled animals and give all animals the opportunity to live out
their lives with dignity
* Educate the public to promote higher ideals of humanity towards all animals
and one another
What we hope to achieve:
* Construction of stables and guest chambers to accommodate more horses and more
people who participate in a workshop.
* Not only provide for the continued care/sanctuary of rescued animals but
also to impact our human family as to their responsibility in developing a
more compassionate approach to life and all living beings.
We currently live together with 36 animals: 11 dogs, 8 cats, 10 horses & ponies and 7 rabbits. Also, we are in the presence of owls, squirrels, hawks, crows, ravens and many other beautiful birds. These animals are wild, but we have a special relationship with them nevertheless. We also help wild animals who are injured, and it is our intention to place them back in their natural habitat if possible.
